Environmental aspects

APPLIANCE AND PACKAGING IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATUTORY
REQUIREMENTS.

Old appliances

are not unusable waste. Many valuable raw materials can be
recovered by environmentally-friendly disposal.
Before disposing of your old appliance, it must be rendered unusable!
Pull the plug out of the socket, cut the connecting lead off and dispose of the plug
together with the remaining lead in an environmentally-friendly manner!
Any appliances with snap-catch or lock, e.g. dryers, washing machines, etc., should
also be rendered unusable prior to disposal, this will prevent small children playing
with these and endangering their lives by locking themselves in!
Refrigerators contain refrigerant and gases in their cooling systems and insulation,
which must be disposed of in a proper manner. It is important not to damage the
cooling fins and tubes prior to proper disposal (refrigerant spillage poses a fire risk).

Packaging materials

are not toys for children! The wrapping, boxes and
insulating materials can cause suffocation!
The specified valuable materials are environmentally compatible and recyclable.
It also applies here that packaging must be disposed of in an environmentally-
friendly manner.
