4. Electrical Connection
The metal fan heater is delivered ready for use.
Before plugging in the appliance, check that the voltage
indicated on the rating plate corresponds to the mains
voltage in your home/office.
5. Heating Operation
The heating element is regulated via the infinitely adjusta-
ble thermostat. The fan starts operating as soon as the
heater is switched on – irrespective of the thermostat set-
ting.
5.1 Models IHP 20, IHP 30

= Cold air mode
= half heat setting
= maximum heat setting
5.2 Models IHP 50, IHP 90

= Heating appliance switched off
= Low fan setting, half heat.
= Low fan setting, maximum heat.

6. Overheat Protection
The metal fan heater is equipped with an overheat
protection for your safety.
If the appliance reaches an excessive temperatures, it is
switched off automatically.
Resetting the overheat protection feature
Switch off the heater for a few minutes and allow it to cool
down.
Correct the cause of overheating that activated the protec-
tive device (e.g. obstructions, air discharge opening cov-
ered).
Press the reset button (behind the "Reset" opening) at the
front of the appliance.
In the event that the overheating protection is tripping re-
peatedly, please consult the customer service.

7. Malfunctions
In the event that defects occur on your appliance which
result in functional problems, please contact your customer
service agent.
Provide the service agent with a detailed description of the
malfunction.
For processing the service call, the product number (E-
number)and the manufacturing date code (FD-number) of
the appliance are required. These data can be found on
the rating plate (at the rear of the appliance).
Repairs and interventions in the appliance may only be
performed by a qualified electrician or the customer ser-
vice
.
8. Cleaning the heater
Before cleaning be sure the power is switched off and the
heater is cool.
Wipe the outside of the heater with a soft, damp cloth and
then dry. Do not use scouring powder or furniture polish for
cleaning as these may damage the housing.
Dust that may have accumulated in the appliance can be
removed from the outside with a vacuum cleaner.
