The defined application also includes:
to take care of all directions from the operating
manual and
the execution of maintenance and service.
Always make sure that you use a sharp blade! Worn bla-
des give bad results. Failure to do so may result in
stress being put on the machine by overheating.

3.4 Genuine spare parts and safety
Spare parts and accessories are manufactured uniquely for the
Bench-Miller. We explicitly point out that other parts must not be used.
By using other parts the safety of the machine can be jeopardized.
This applies especially for the replacement blade of the machine.
Wolff is not liable for damage caused by not using genuine
spare parts.
4.0 Maintenance
The Bench-miller is designed to groove a bend groove for wall
cove base. The wall cove base is usually dimensioned for 10 cm
height at the wall and 5cm width at the floor, i.e. its total dimension
is 15 cm.
PVC cove base should be grooved from the backside, linoleum
cove base from the front side. The groove depth should be
adjusted in order to leave about 1 mm material after grooving.
4.1 Adjust the height of the wall cove base.
To adjust the height of the wall cove base there are two slidable
guide beads (2a, 2b) one of which is spring-loaded.
Adjust the height preferably with the fixed bead (1b). The spring-
loaded one compensates differences of stripe width.
4.2 Adjust the pressure roller
The bench-miller has a pressure roller (2). It presses the flooring
strip down on the desk and compensates the pressure from the
blade. In order to not damage the roller with the blade, do not
lower the roller too much.
Lower the roller with the adjusting screws (3) to have a distance
(1a)
of about 1.5 mm between roller and table.
(1b)
Make sure the blade is able to rotate freely beneath the table.
4.3 Adjust the groove depth
The driving motor with the blade is mounted under the table
area. The groove depth is adjusted with a screw and a counter
nut at the bottom side of the motor. It is locked with a clamping lever.
4.4 Use
Fixing device
Clambing lever
Loosen the clamping lever and turn the motor to the top
as far as you can see the blade above the table.
Test the groove depth prior to work and correct if necessary.
It should be 1/2 to 2/3 of the flooring gauge.
Push the wall cove base between the guide beads and
under the pressure roller. You can push it with the hand
wheel over the blade.
If the cove base has reached the other side of the table,
pull it through the miller.
The quality of the groove depends on the speed you pull
it through the miller.
If the speed is too high, groove gets wavy.Furthermore the
edge of the groove might break, especially at low temperature.
