To perform a manual search for the DCF signal (e.g., if you have placed the radio-
controlled alarm clock in a different location), press the REC button (6) for five
seconds.
-
This will start a new reception attempt. Then, as described above, wait for a few
minutes until the correct time is displayed.
-
If this signal reception attempt fails, the hands move back to the position that
was displayed before the manual signal reception attempt.
settinG the time manually
If DCF reception is not possible, you can also set the time manually.

Press the SET button (5) for five seconds.
-
Press the SET button (5) again afterwards to set the time.
Short press shifts the time by one minute each. When you keep pressing the
button, the hands shift quickly.

If the SET button (5) is not pressed for eight seconds, the time setting will be
saved.
alarm Function
a) setting wake-up time
-
The alarm time is indicated on the clock face by a small clock hand.
-
Turn the alarm time adjustment (2) on the back of the casing in the arrow direc-
tion until the desired alarm time is shown on the clock face.
Turn the alarm time position (2) only in the arrow direction. Otherwise, the
clock mechanism can be damaged.
b) activating/deactivating the alarm function
Move the sliding switch (3) on the back of the case to the desired position:

ON
Alarm function activated

OFF
Alarm function deactivated
c) stopping the alarm signal & snooze function
At the set alarm time, the signal tone is triggered.

The signal can be interrupted for approx. 5 minutes by pressing shortly the
SNOOZE/LIGHT (4) button on the top of the case. After this, the signal will re-
start (snooze function). This procedure can be repeated for up to seven times.

To deactivate the alarm function, move the ALARM switch (3) to the OFF posi-
tion.
clock Face liGht
Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (4) on the top of the case to turn on the clock face
light for a few seconds.
location For use
Select a level, flat and stable location for use.
Protect valuable furniture surfaces by using an appropriate underlay; otherwise, it
may cause scratches.
Set up the radio-controlled alarm clock to prevent it from falling.
To ensure correct DCF reception, the radio-controlled alarm clock should not be
placed next to electronic devices, cables, metal parts, etc.
maintenance and cleaninG
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled
for any reason.
Please use a soft, dry, clean cloth for cleaning.
Do not use any chemical cleansers; those can change the colour of the plastic of
the case.
disPosal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed
of in the household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
Remove the battery if there is one inserted and dispose of it separately from
the product.
b) batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Regulation) to return used batte-
ries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are la-
belled with the symbol shown to indicate that disposal in household waste is
forbidden. The symbols of the critical heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium,
Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (marking can be seen on the battery/rechargeable
battery, e.g., underneath the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
You can return used (rechargeable) batteries free of charge at the official
collection points in your municipality, our stores, or where ever (recharge-
able) batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
