Installing and Changing the Saw Blade

Always use a sharp blade recommended by Westfalia.
If the tool does not cut as well as expected or if it cuts very slowly or
unsmooth the most common cause is a dull blade.
Blades are consumable items.
Beware when changing blades as they can become hot enough to
burn.
1. Make sure the machine is disconnected
from the power supply.
2. Press the included hex (12) key into the
hole (4) in the safety cutting shoe to
unlock it. Flip open the safety cutting shoe
(Fig. A).
3. Insert the included hex key (12) into the
free end of the drive shaft (11) and press
the shaft locking button (10). Loosen the
screw by turning clockwise (Fig. B).
4. Remove the screw (11) and the associated flange (Fig. C).
5. Insert the new saw blade. The direction of the arrow on the saw blade must
be in accordance with the arrow on the housing. Slide the saw blade past
the interior components of the hinge of the safety cutting shoe. Make sure
the saw blade exactly matches the outer ring of the inner flange.
6. Reinsert the screw with the outer flange. Lock the shaft with the button (10)
and tighten the screw by turning counter clockwise.
7. Close the safety cutting shoe. It must in place with an audible click.
8. Finally, check the correct position of the saw blade in its slot.
