spark plug should be replaced after about a month in
operation or earlier if necessary.

CAUTION! Always use the recommended spark plug
type! Use of the wrong spark plug can damage the piston/
cylinder. Check that the spark plug is tted with a
suppressor.

Air lter

The air lter must be regularly cleaned to remove dust
and dirt in order to avoid:
• Carburettor malfunctions.
• Starting problems.
• Loss of engine power.
• Unnecessary wear to engine parts.
• Excessive fuel consumption.

Clean the lter every 25 hours, or more regularly if
conditions are exceptionally dusty.

Cleaning the air lter
Close the choke control by setting the choke into a choke
position.
• Remove the air lter cover and take out the lter. Wash
it clean in warm, soapy water. Clean also the inside of
the lter cover by using air or a brush. Ensure that the
lter is dry before retting it.
• Remove the Felt lter from the lter holder and gently
brush debris from the lter.
• Install screen and Felt lter to the air lter holder.
• Install the foam lter in the air lter cover.
• Install the air lter cover.
An air lter that has been in use for a long time cannot be
cleaned completely. The lter must therefore be replaced
with a new one at regular intervals. A damaged air lter
must always be replaced. Damaged, very dirty, or fuel-
soaked air lter must always be replaced.

Air intake screen

Check that the air intake is not blocked, for example, by
leaves or rubbish. A clogged air intake reduces the
machine's blowing capacity and increases the engine's
working temperature, which can result in engine failure.
Stop the engine and remove the object.
WARNING! Never use the blower if the

screen is not in place. Before use, check
that the screen is in place and
undamaged.
Fuel lter
Check the fuel lter for contamination and the fuel hose
for cracks or other defects. Replace if necessary.
