4 Preparation for Measurement

Only the Dräger-Tubes listed in the Order List (page 14) should be
used when making measurements with the SimultanTest CO2.
Connector used must be clean.
Attention: only use in clean condition!
Connect measuring device 5 to the low pressure carbon dioxide supply
systems, operating pressure 3 bar ±0.2 (fig. 2).
Have timer ready.

Have Dräger-Tube ready (fig. 2.1).
Follow the instructions for use of the Dräger-Tube

5 Carrying Out Measurement
1. Open valve on the low pressure carbonic acid supply system, op-
erating pressure 3 bar ±0.2, if necessary.
2. If apparatus is clean and dry, scavenge for 2 to 3 minutes. If state
of apparatus is not known, scavenge for at least 5 to 6 minutes.
Attention: ventilate the room, note the MAK regulations for
CO !

3. Close valve to low pressure carbon dioxide supply system, 3 bar
±0.2.

4. Select Dräger-Tube for the gas to be assayed (see marking on
measuring device and fig. 2.1).

Unallocated tube connections do not affect the measurement re-
sult.

Open the ends of the Dräger-Tubes
with the aid of the tube opener 4 (fig. 1) and place in tube holder
on measuring device. The arrow on the Dräger-Tube
from the measuring unit (fig. 2.1).
