Introduction
The transport-wheelchair D-Lite been designed with
elegance and quality in mind. It is suitable for occasional
or frequent use, and can be used outdoors and indoors.
It's aluminium frame is lightweight and durable. The
transport-wheelchair is designed for a single user of up
to 125 kg (19 stone).
The transport-wheelchair comes with 12,5" or 24" wheels
which allow either the user or an attendant to propel the
transport-wheelchair.
All D-Lite transport-wheelchairs are manufactured to the
highest quality and are CE compliant.
Drive Medical is an DIN EN ISO 13485: 2012 certified
medical device manufacturer.
Indikation
Inability to walk or severely restricted walking ability as
part of the basic need to move around in your own home
and to leave your home to get some fresh air on a short
walk or to reach the places usually in the surrounding
area of your home where everyday business can be
carried out.
Provision of transportable wheelchairs is advised if disa-
bled persons need to put their wheelchair e.g. in a car
themselves unaided or if the accompanying persons of
disabled persons are not in the position to transport a
standard wheelchair, if applicable including with remo-
vable wheels, due to its high weight.
The transportable wheelchair exclusively serves people
who are not able to walk and people who have problems
with walking with their individual requirements when tra-
velling themselves and travelling with others for everyday
use, both inside and outside on even and uneven ground.
The use of the transportable wheelchair is not suitable for:
• Disorders of perception
• Severe loss of balance
• Loss of limbs to both arms
• Joint contractions/joint damage to both arms
• Inability to sit down
Important Safety Information
Before Using the transport-wheelchair read the safety
notices below:
• Use slow speeds on gradients. Do not exceed the
maximum gradient stated.
• The transport-wheelchair is only suitable for single
occupancy.
• Keep your feet on the footplates when moving. Do
not stand on the footplates.
• Do not use escalators.
• Do not reverse down a gradient
• Maintain proper balance at all times. Users should not
move their centre of gravity out of the seating area.
• Do not reach for items further than your arm will
extend.
• Be aware of hazards in your environment, such as
narrow doorways, steps, household appliances,
children's toys, etc.
• We recommend you consult your healthcare pro-
fessional for advice about transferring to and from
the transport-wheelchair. The parking brakes should
always be applied when transferring.
• The transport-wheelchair brakes and parking brakes
are not suitable for slowing the transport-wheelchair
down.
Adjustment of Armrest
The angle and front height of the armrests can be adjusted
to suit each user. To adjust the angle, press the button
shown in the photograph whilst pulling up or down on the
front of the armrest. When the desired angle is reached,
release the button to lock.
Adjustment of Legrest
The length of the leg rests can be adjusted. To adjust
the length of the leg rest, first loosen the allen bolt on
the legrest using the allen key provided. Then slide the
footplate in and out until the desired position is reached.
Finally retighten the allen bolt to secure.
