Safety instructions
• Do not disassemble the labeling system. Read this manual before using it.
• Turn off the power immediately if a malfunction occurs. Unplug the device if it or the cable starts to smoke or emit an odor.
• Always use original ribbons to ensure good print quality and a long device lifespan.
Maintenance
External and label compartment cleaning: Wipe the outside of the labeling system and the label compartment inside carefully
with a cloth dampened with water.
• Internal cleaning: Clean the printhead regularly, especially if print quality decreases.
• We recommend using our MaxClean cleaning wipes for safe and proper maintenance. We also offer a maintenance service —
just contact us.
Media sensor calibration
Note: Always calibrate the media sensor when the label media is changed or after printer initialization.
Method 1: Using buttons
1. Make sure the media is correctly loaded (as described above).
2. Press the "Menu" button and then "Select" to open the main menu.
3. Use the "Down" button to select "Sensor" and press "Select" to open it.
4. Select "Auto Calibration" and press "Select".
5. Use the "Up"/"Down" button to choose the media type and press "Select" to automatically calibrate the selected media
sensor.
Method 2: Using touchscreen
1. Make sure the media is correctly loaded.
2. Tap the "Calibration" icon, then tap the media type to automatically calibrate the sensor.
Printer initialization
Note: Initialization resets all printer settings to factory default values.
Method 1: Using buttons
1. Press the "Menu" button and then "Select" to open the main menu.
2. Use the "Down" button to select "Service" and press "Select".
3. Select "Initialization" and press "Select".
4. Select "Yes" and press "Select" to reset the printer settings.
Method 2: Using touchscreen
1. Tap the "Menu" icon, then tap the "→" icon to go to the next page.
2. Tap the "Service" icon and then "Initialization".
3. Tap "Yes" to reset the printer settings to default values.
Printer self-diagnosis
Note: The self-diagnosis checks whether a heating element in the printhead is damaged and displays the current printer
configuration.
Method 1: Using buttons
1. Make sure the media is correctly loaded.
2. Press "Menu" and then "Select" to open the main menu.
3. Use the "Down" button to select "Diagnostic" and press "Select".
4. Select "Print Config." and press "Select" to print the self-diagnosis page.
Method 2: Using touchscreen
1. Make sure the media is correctly loaded.
2. Tap the "Menu" icon, then tap "→" to go to the next page.
3. Tap the "Diagnostic" icon and then "Printer Configuration" to print the self-diagnosis page.
