Problem
The performance is
weak.
Dust escapes from
the device during
cleaning.
During use, an
unpleasant smell is
detected.

Possible cause
The dust container (8) is too
full.
The HEPA fi lter (5) and the
fi lter strap are very dirty.
The nozzle being used or the
suction hose (17) is clogged.
The rotating brush of the
turbo nozzle (7) is clogged.
The vacuum cleaner is full.
The HEPA fi lter is not
inserted correctly.
Is the device being used for
the fi rst time?
The HEPA fi lter and the fi lter
strap are very dirty.
Is the HEPA fi lter or the
fi lter strap damaged or is
adequate cleaning no longer
possible?
Fix
Empty the dust container
(see the "Cleaning and Stor-
age" chapter | "Emptying the
Dust Container and Cleaning
the Filter").
Clean the HEPA fi lter and the
fi lter strap (see the "Cleaning
and Storage" chapter | "Emp-
tying the Dust Container and
Cleaning the Filter").
Switch off the device, pull the
mains plug out of the plug
socket and remove whatever
is causing the blockage.
Clean the turbo nozzle (see
the "Cleaning and Storage"
chapter | "Cleaning the Hous-
ing and Nozzles").
Empty the dust container
(see the "Cleaning and Stor-
age" chapter | "Emptying the
Dust Container and Cleaning
the Filter").
Press the HEPA fi lter fi rmly
into the dust container so that
it sits directly on the housing
wall all the way round.
A smell often develops when
new devices are fi rst used.
The smell should disappear
once the device has been
used several times.
Clean the HEPA fi lter and the
fi lter strap (see the "Cleaning
and Storage" chapter | "Emp-
tying the Dust Container and
Cleaning the Filter").
