2. WARNING NOTICES AND
APPROPRIATE USE

The ABS Avalanche Airbag cannot prevent an ava-

lanche.

Every avalanche is always absolutely life threatening,
with or without an ABS
a
The ABS Avalanche Airbag should not in any way
®
increase your willingness to take risks.
a
The function and action of the ABS
solely to preventing the total burial of an avalanche
victim. However, there may be situations when this is
only partially or not at all possible.
a
The ABS P.RIDE System must be actively triggered –
®
either by you or a member of your group if you are in
group mode.
a
You should always try to activate your ABS
System yourself by pulling the activation handle.
ABS P.RIDE group activation only allows the additional
®
option of remote radio-controlled activation of your
ABS P.RIDE System by other group members if you are
®
in group mode.
a
In the event of left-handed assembly (Section 4.1, Step
8), ensure that you do not pull the activation handle
downwards in order to prevent it activating accidentally.

The ABS P.RIDE system requires careful handling
®
and proper inspection before each use. Check the day
before use that your system is fully functional and the
battery is fully charged.

Use only the ABS original inflator for ABS
®

The ABS inflator can only be refilled by ABS
®
a
The system is only fully functional if a full ABS
inflator is used.
a
Try not to dismantle the ABS
individual parts. Any manipulation of the inflator could
cause an explosion. Serious risk of injury and death,
even for bystanders!
