Line Output
Socket LINE O is a low impedance/high
level output socket for making high quality
recordings on a tape recorder with a
corresponding
line input socket.

The Line output
socket can also
be used to feed another amplifier or

display.
Microphone
Connection
The socket @ (see specifications
connection)
will accept

microphones,
dynamic
microphones and high quality balanced
line studio
microphones.

By pulling
and depressing
knob O MICRO the microphone input can
be switched — depending on the type of
microphone used — to stereo or mono.

To avoid acoustic feedback (howling), we
recommend
the microphone
be used at a
reasonable
distance
from the loudspeaker,
or do not turn up the volume control
too
far.
MIX
Mixer operation:
The microphone
signal can be mixed with
any other
signal
being fed into or out of
the receiver (radio programme, record, tape
or cassette).
The mixed signal
be adjusted with control MICRO (for
microphone)
and control MIX (for normal
programme).
To avoid acoustic
especially
if the mixed programme is being
recorded,
the volume
control
should
be turned up too far.

Overload
Protection
The Circuit has been designed so that it will
sense open and short circuit loading conditions.
It will also sense over capacitive Or over
inductive
loads
and the
automatic
overload
protection circuit will then operate. Thermal
protection
devices
have also been fitted
mains
input transformer
and onto the heatsinks
of the output
transistors.
These transistors
are therefore protected against destruction
overload and high operating temperatures. Should
a fault condition
occur these overload protection
circuits
will
reset
themselves
when
the

cleared.
