IJsing the microphone
In order to get the most out of this microphone please observe the
following instructions:
Hold the microphone very close to the mouth (lip contact)
Avoid covering the protective mesh carge with your hand
If distortion accurs correct the setting at the mixing desk or
switch in the pre-attenuation (see also "Adjusting the micro-
phone sensitivity")
O To remove residual humidity inside the sound inlet shake micro-
phone after each use.
Adjusting
the microphone
The microphone can process a maximum sound pressure level of
> 140 dB without distortion. When this level is reached the signal
voltage at the microphone output is approx. 1000 mV In order to
prevent the microphone input stage of the connected equipment
from being overloaded the microphone sensitivity can be stepped
down in two steps: -10 dB and -20 dB. The sensitivity switch must
be operated either with the included switching tool or with some
other
suitable
tool.

Using the roll off filter
The built-in
roll off filter can be switched
a switch which can be accessed after the grip sleeve has been
unscrewed.

pensate the close talking effect and to suppress impact, handling

Mounting
the microphone
The MZA 4031quick-release dip included with the microphone is
used for mounting the microphone on stands. The clamp is fitted
with an interchangeable thread which can be unscrewed to allow
the unit to be adapted for 3/8"1/2" a nd 5/8"threads.
