PRECAUTIONS
* When the unit is not in use or is used on AC power for a long period of time, the batteries
should be taken out of the battery compartment.
Do not leave the exhausted batteries in the battery compartment, or they may corrode and
cause damage.
Do not leave the unit in direct sunlight or extremely hot or humid places.
Never use any strong detergents or solvents for cleaning the cabinet of this unit, because this
could damage the surface finish.
* Motor revolution torque is used for the mechanism operation of this unit, so when the Record,
Rewind, Playback or Fast forward button is pressed, the button is locked instantaneously and
then released. As a result, the other button cannot be pressed for approx. 0.7 sec. until the
mechanism is changed over after the button is pressed.

more to release the
However, the Pause button cannot be released when power is not supplied, so supply power,
then press the Pause button to release it.

because of the tape's high retentivity, so that the excellent high frequency characteristics of
Metal Tape canbe displayedto their fullest. The extention of the frequency responseand high
frequency dynamic range, the decreaseof distortion at high input levelsand sharp improve-
ment of the S/ N ratio at high frequencies are advantages of Metal Tape.

The tape select switches can be changed over in 3 ways to fully display the characteristics of all
types of tape.
The Metal select switch makes it possible to display the excellent performance of this complete-
ly new type of tape.
