1. Making the drill hole with
RAUMEDIC DRILL KITs
®
Trepanning of the cranium must be carried
out according to the following steps:
• Shave and disinfect the scalp
• Cut into the skin and make an incision in
the hypodermis. If required, haemostasis
and use of self-retaining retractors.
• Make the drill hole in the cranial bone with a
suitable RAUMEDIC
®
2 and Accessories) or the drill already enc-
losed with RAUMEDIC
• The drill bit adjustment that is contained in
the DRILL KIT, can be positioned according
to requirements. The safety screw must be
loosened with the supplied spanner, the
ring pushed into position and the safety
screw tightened again.
Caution
• The drill bit setting ring is solely a reference
point and does not prevent drilling through
once the predetermined drilling depth is
reached.
• Do not change the drill direction while dril-
ling to prevent the drilling of too large or
non-circular drill holes.
