INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION –
ACTIVITY KIT
These fitting instructions must be kept safe and followed on
every installation.
Note:
Part 1 requires fitting by a specialist workshop.
Part 2 can be carried out by the customer.
PART 1: Fitting by the workshop.
Fitting the brackets to a seat in the second row of seats.
1.
Cut out template (Page I/II).
2.
Position the template on the seat back as shown and
mark the seat back.
3.
There are hexagonal holes under the floor mat at the
places marked. They must be felt for with the fingers
(please check). The marks must be in the middle of the
holes. At each of the marked places cut a 15 mm
diameter hole in the floor mat. Ensure that the hole is
located centrally over the hexagonal hole. If necessary,
cut a smaller hole first. Using a suitable tool, screw the
pull-in nut into the hexagonal hole.
4.
Fitting the plug (K).
Fitting the brackets to a seat in the third row of seats.
1.
Remove the seat back panel. To do this, remove the
covers on the 4 screws and undo the screws.
2.
Position the threaded plates as shown (L).
3.
Cut 10 mm diameter access holes in the back panel at
the places shown.
4.
Fit back panel and plugs as shown.
Fitting the brackets in the load space on the 5-seater.
1.
Two depressions in the floor mat show the positions
for the brackets. They can be felt with the fingers
(for dimensions, see Figure 1).
2.
Using a sharp knife, cut 30 mm diameter round holes
in the floor mat over the depressions. Remove the
insulating material under the floor mat to gain access to
the screw hole. The screw hole has been sealed with a
plug. Widen the hole to 40 mm, making sure that it is
centered over the screw hole.
3.
Remove floor mat, insulating material and plug.
4.
Fit the bracket as shown. Note the torques.

Part 2: May be carried out by the customer.
1 - 3. Fitting the aluminium section on a seat in the second or
third row of seats. Fold the seat over, folding up the
rear cover, if necessary. Remove the plugs and fasten
the aluminium section (A) with the screws (C).
4.
Fitting the aluminium section in the boot of the 5-seater:
Fasten the section (B) with the screws (D).
5.
Fitting the aluminium section on the extendable load
space floor (special fitting): Insert the T-bolts (F) into
the grooves in the load space floor, as shown. Fasten
the section (B) with the screws (D).
Note:
When fitting, make sure to use the washers provided in the
aluminium sections. Note screw torque (6 Nm).
6.
Fitting the lashing eyes:
Fit the lashing eyes as shown and tighten to 8 Nm
torque. Note: Note the permitted outer position of the
lashing eye (5 mm from the edge of the section).
Demounting:
After the aluminum sections have been demounted, the plugs
must be replaced.
Note:
The maximum permitted load per aluminium section is 30 kg
and with 2 aluminium sections, one front and one rear, 60 kg.
With the aluminium section fitted the seat back must be kept
folded down.
Safety notes:
Before beginning any journey, after driving for a short
distance (50 km) and at regular intervals thereafter
(every 1,000 km at the latest), depending on the quality
of the road, re-tighten the bolts to the specified torque
and check that the load is positioned properly and well
secured.
Remember that the road-holding behaviour of the vehi-
cle changes when it is loaded.
Distribute the load evenly over the loading area and
keep the centre of gravity as low as possible.
