CARE AND CLEANING
1. Always disconnect the plug from the wall socket and allow the appliance to
cool down before cleaning.
2. Never immerse the kettle, plug or base plate in water, and do not let moisture
come into contact with these parts.
3. Wipe the outside of the jug with a damp cloth. Only use non-toxic cleaning agents.
4. Remember to clean the filter from time to time. Remove the filter to make cleaning
easier and replace it after cleaning.
CAUTION!
cleaning agents on the kettle exterior as these may damage
the surface.
5. The cord can be rolled up under the base plate when the kettle is stored
for longer periods.
CLEANING MINERAL DEPOSITS
The kettle must be descaled regularly as minerals in the tap water can form deposits
at the bottom of the kettle, which impair performance. Use a commercial descaler
and follow the instructions on the package. White wine vinegar can also be used
according to the following instructions:
1. Pour 300 ml of white wine vinegar into the kettle. Fill with the same amount of water
so that the bottom is covered. Allow the solution to work in the kettle overnight.
The same applies for a commercial descaler.
2. Pour the mixture out of the kettle. Fill with fresh water, bring to the boil and pour
out the water. Repeat this several times until the smell of the white wine vinegar
has disappeared. Any remaining stains inside the spout can be rubbed off with
a damp cloth. The same applies for a commercial descaler.
