CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and cool it down
completely before cleaning.
• Never immerse the kettle or power cord in water, or allow moisture to get in
contact with these parts.
• Wipe the kettle body with a damp cloth to clean any spill or residue.
• CAUTION: Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean
the outside of the kettle to prevent surface loss.
• When not in use, the power cord can be placed inside the appliance.
REMOVAL OF MINERAL DEPOSITS
Your kettle should be periodically descaled as the mineral deposits in tap water
may form scale at the bottom of the kettle interior, becoming less efficient in oper-
ation. You can use any commercially available descaler and follow the instructions
on the package of the descaler. Alternatively, you may follow the below instructions
and use white vinegar.
1. Fill the kettle with 150ml each of white vinegar and water covering the bottom
of the kettle completely. Leave the solution in the kettle overnight.
2. Discard the mixture in the kettle, then refill with the kettle with clean water, and
boil. Discard the water, and then repeat this process several times until the
odor of vinegar has been flushed away. Any stains remaining inside the spout
can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth.
