Function
Through-beam sensors are sensors having separate
transmitter and receiver units which must be aligned with
each other on opposite ends of the detection range. When
an object interrupts the light beam, the receiver switches,
i.e. the output signal changes.

Position D: dark-switching, N.O.
Align sensor
1. Position the emitter and receiver to the desired
distance.
2. Detect the on and off output switch point (yellow LED):
move the emitter or receiver in multiple directions so
that the switching state of the yellow LED on the
receiver changes (on or off). Each switching state
change indicates one switch point.
3. Mount the sensor that was moved in the middle of the
determined switch points.
⇒ The system is operating optimally when the green
LED of the receiver lights up permanently and the
yellow LED is off for the N.O. contact version and
on for the N.C. contact version.
