Wick thin CA into the joint between the fuselage and
fi n to secure the fi n to the fuselage. Do not use CA
accelerator, as the CA must be allowed to seep into the
joint between the fuselage and fi n to guarantee the bond
between the two.

Prepare the hinges by placing a t-pin in the center of each hinge. Fit the hinges to the rudder, resting the t-pin against
the leading edge of the rudder. The rudder can now by placed in position on the fi n. Remove the t-pins and check that
there is suffi cient clearance between the top of the fi n and rudder to allow the rudder to move freely. Saturate each of
the hinges on both sides with thin CA. Allow the CA to fully cure, then gently pull on the rudder and fi n to make sure
the hinges are glued securely.

dérive. Retirez les épingles et contrôlez qu'il y a un écart suffi sant entre la gouverne et la partie supérieure de la
partie fi xe de la dérive afi n d'assurer un mouvement libre. Une fois le positionnement effectué, imprégnez de colle CA
les deux côtés de chaque charnière. Patientez durant le séchage de la colle, puis tirez délicatement sur la gouverne
pour contrôler le collage des charnières. Si les charnières ne sont pas correctement collées, ajoutez de la colle CA
jusqu'à obtenir une liaison parfaite.

Place low-tack tape 1/32 inch (1 mm) from the control
horn slot. This will prevent epoxy from getting on the
elevator surface when the control horns are glued in
place. Locate the elevator control horn. Use sandpaper
to scuff the bottom of the control horn. Use a toothpick
to apply epoxy in the slot for the control horn, and to the
area of the control horn that fi ts into the elevator. Fit the
control horn in the elevator. The horn will fi t snug in the
slot. Use a paper towel and isopropyl alcohol to remove
any excess epoxy from around the control horn. Before
the epoxy fully cures, remove the tape from around the
control horn.
