Continuous pulses will be counted internally without loss.
The display shows the current count when the input is left open or
when low potential is fed to terminal 13.
Note
Set switches 2 and 3 to ON alternatively, otherwise the
counter may assume an undefined state!
Switch 4
Counting frequency (Input 5 kHz/30 Hz)
With this input the count input (terminal 11) can be set to
• either triggering with an electronic pulse generator at a max.
frequency of up to 5 kHz or
• triggering with a mechanical pulse generator at a max. frequency
of up to 30 Hz.
Switch 5
Locking the keypad reset (Key-Reset Lock/On)
In switch position
• "Key-Reset Lock" the counter reset routine via keypad is
disabled.
• "On"the counter can be reset via keypad.
Switches 6, 7
Locking the keypad (Key l 2 Off/On, Key l 1 Off/On)
• preset P
• the correction value and
• the prescaler value
can, depending on the positions of these two switches, be locked or
released by feeding an active level to the keylock input (terminal 14).
The table shows various options, the corresponding switch positions
and the required potential at the keylock input.

Automatic reset
(Auto-Reset On/Off)
In switch position
• "Auto-Reset On" the counter
is set/reset automatically when
a defined counter value (0 or
preset value P) has been
reached.
• Automatic setting/resetting is carried out without pulse loss up to
the max. pulse frequency (5 kHz) – independent of the signal dura-
tion set at the potentiometer.
• In OFF position the counter will not be set/reset automatically.
(Whether the counter is set or reset depends on the position of
switch 9.)
