CeoTronics headset. If the channel is busy and you press the PTT button an acoustic signal is audible via the
speaker of the CeoTronics headset.
Plug connections – safety plug connection (optional)

Between the communication headset and the PTT connection is usually a weather resistant inline safety plug
connection. This opens at a specific tensile load, e.g., if the cable gets caught.
CAUTION
A defective safety plug connection may only be repaired at our works. Do not make any attempts
to repair this yourself.

Commissioning and operation
a. With the two-way radio or communication device switched off connect the communication headset via the PTT
connection to the two-way radio or the communication device.
b. PTT button with fastening clip – Fasten the PTT button by the clip on the rear to a suitable place on your
clothing.
Rubber PTT button for fastening on the finger(s) – Fix the finger PTT button by means of the PTT button
straps to the inner side of the index finger or the middle finger or to index and middle finger. To do so, sling the
PTT button straps round the finger(s) and fasten the strap ends. The PTT button is actuated with the thumb.
c. Switch on the two-way radio or the communication device and on the two-way radio or communication device
adjust the volume for the speaker(s) of the communication headset.
d. Transmitting and receiving – Press the PTT button and keep the PTT button pressed. You can speak via the
microphone of the communication headset as long as you keep the PTT button pressed. Release the PTT
button for standby/reception.
Visual inspection – cleaning – storage

Examine the device and in particular the cable and plug connectors regularly for signs of fractures, cracks and
wear. Send a defective device to CeoTronics for repair.
Do not immerse the device in water. No moisture may be allowed to penetrate the device. Do not use any
solvents (benzine, alcohol, etc.) for cleaning purposes. Remove any loose dust with a soft brush. Clean the
outside with a suitable clean cloth that has been slightly moistened with clear water, and rub the parts dry
afterwards. If heavily soiled, some dishwashing liquid can be used in addition.
Clean the contacts of the connectors with a commonly available contact cleaning agent.
After use, keep the cleaned device in a clean and dry place at normal room temperature and at normal relative air
humidity.
