CLEANING
BASIC CLEANING
• Unplug the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool
down before cleaning.
• Clean the housing of the coffee machine with a damp
sponge or cloth soaked in a few drops of detergent.
• Clean the water tank, drip tray and grid regularly and then
dry them.
• Remove the filter holder by turning it clockwise and
remove any coffee residues from inside. You can then
clean it regularly and rinse it with clean water.
• Dry all parts thoroughly before assembly and storage.
• Do not clean with alcohol, solvent, or any other product
with an acidic or basic pH factor such as bleach.
• Never immerse the housing in water for cleaning.
• Do not allow water or other liquids to enter through the
ventilation openings to prevent damage to the internal
working parts of the appliance.
• All parts of this appliance are dishwasher safe.
CLEANING THE VAPORISER TUBE
CAUTION: The vaporiser tube may be very hot.
• It is advisable to clean the steaming tube after steaming
to prevent dirt deposits and before switching off the
machine.
• To do this, remove the cover from the vaporiser.
• Put a glass with some water under the tube and immerse
the tube in the water.
• Pour hot water out of the pipe, following the instructions
"Getting hot water".
• Use a cloth to dry the tube.
• If no steam comes out, it may be because dry milk is
clogging the outlet. In this case, carefully use a needle to
unclog the tip of the steaming tube.
• Once clean, rinse under running tap water and
reassemble.
TREATMENT OF LIMESCALE DEPOSITS
• For perfect operation of the appliance, it must be free of
lime or magnesium incrustations, caused by the use of
water of high hardness. To avoid this type of problem,
the use of water with low calcareous or magnesium
mineralisation is recommended.
• To keep the machine in good working order, we
recommend descaling it as often as possible:
- Every 10 weeks if the water is "very hard".
- Every 17 weeks if the water is "hard".
• Homemade solutions, such as the use of vinegar, are not
recommended in descaling treatments.
• Fill the tank with water and descaler to the MAX level (the
scale of water and descaler is 4:1).
• Then press the power button and let the appliance warm
up.
• When the indicator stops flashing, place a container on
the tray and prepare two coffees (without coffee in the
filter).
• Wait a moment and then steam for 2 minutes.
• Press the ON/OFF switch to stop the unit immediately and
let the machine stand for at least 15 minutes.
• Repeat this procedure 3 times.
• Finally, do the brewing process (without coffee in the filter)
with the remaining descaler and empty the tank.
• Now repeat all the above steps, but this time filling
the tank with tap water (now you don't need to wait 15
minutes each time).
