• Fill the tank (E) with water, exceeding the "MIN" mark and
without the water level exceeding the "MAX" mark on the
tank.
• Close the cover (F).
NOTE: It is not necessary to uncouple the tank (E),
but if this is done it must be ensured that it is correctly
repositioned.
COFFEE FILLING
• Remove the filter holder (J) by turning it clockwise.
• Place the filter (K or L) in the filter holder. The small one
(K) for one cup of coffee and the large one (L) for two
cups.
• Using the measuring spoon (M), place ground coffee
suitable for espresso machines in the filter (K or L). One
tablespoon for one cup of coffee and two tablespoons for
two cups.
• Press the coffee lightly with the end of the measuring
spoon (M).
• Reattach the filter holder (J) to the brewer.
NOTE: Check that the removable filter is perfectly
positioned in the filter holder.
USE
• Plug the appliance into the mains.
• Press the on/off button (C). The indicator light (A) will
illuminate. The indicator lights of the coffee buttons (B1
and B2) will illuminate flashing, indicating the preheating
of the machine.
• Once they stop flashing, the machine is hot and ready
for use.
MAKING COFFEE
• Make sure that there is enough water in the tank (E) and
if not, follow the water filling steps.
• Follow the steps for filling coffee using the small filter (K).
• Once the filter holder (J) is fitted to the machine with
coffee, place the cup on the grille (G), taking into account
that coffee will come out of both holes of the filter holder
(J).
• Press the button for a coffee (B1). The machine will start
pre-infusion by pouring a small amount of water over the
coffee to moisten it. It will then prepare the coffee and
stop automatically.
• When you have finished brewing coffee, you can remove
the filter holder (J) by turning it clockwise and then pour
out the coffee residue.
• Allow to cool completely, then rinse under running water.
• Dry it thoroughly before putting it back into the brewer.
PREPARE TWO COFFEES
• Repeat all the above steps, replacing the small filter with
the large filter (L) and pressing the two-coffee button (B2).
TO OBTAIN HOT WATER
• Hot water is used to heat the cup, prepare tea or cool the
appliance.
• You can obtain hot water by using the coffee buttons (B1
and B2) or by using the frother (I).
With the coffee buttons (B1 and B2):
- Once the machine is preheated, follow the same
procedure as for making a coffee, but without putting
coffee in the filter.
- Place a cup on the grille (G) and press either the one-
coffee button (B1) or the two-coffee button (B2).
- Hot water will start to flow out.
- When you have the desired amount of water, press
the coffee button (B1/B2) again to stop the water flow.
With the vaporiser (I):
- From the heated position, place a glass under the
vaporiser (I).
- Open the hot water flow by slowly turning the steam
knob (D) anticlockwise.
- Close the steam knob (D) by turning it clockwise to the
initial position.
OPTENER STEAM / FROTH MILK
• The steam is used to froth milk for cappuccino, and can
also heat other liquids.
• From the heating position, press the steam button (B3). It
will start flashing indicating that the temperature is rising.
• Once it stops flashing, the machine is ready to release dry
steam through the vaporiser tube (I).
• To release steam, just turn the steam control knob (D)
slowly anticlockwise.
• When you want to cut off the steam flow, turn the knob (D)
clockwise back to the initial position.
• When the function is finished, press the steam button
(B3), then press the coffee button (B1 or B2) to lower the
temperature and return to standby mode.
NOTE: Clean the steam outlet (I) with a damp sponge
immediately after the steam stops, but be careful not to hurt
yourself!
AUTOMATIC SWITCH-OFF FUNCTION
• In order to save energy, the appliance switches off
automatically after 25 minutes of inactivity.
