If the accessories described above are not available
for your appliance model, they can also be purchased
separately from the Service Centre.
USE AND MAINTENANCE
• Do not use the appliance if accessories or consumables
are not properly attached.
• Do not use the appliance if the accessories attached to it
are defective. Replace them immediately.
• Do not operate the appliance without water.
• Use the appliance only with water.
• The use of bottled mineral water fit for human
consumption is recommended.
• Do not move the appliance while in use.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains before refilling the
water tank.
• Do not remove the filter holder when coffee is being
brewed as it is under pressure at this point.
• Do not use the appliance if its on/off switch does not
work.
• Do not turn the appliance upside down while it is in use or
connected to the mains.
• Respect the "MAX" and "MIN" levels of the water tank.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains when not in use and
before cleaning.
• Do not store the appliance when it is still hot.
• Never leave the appliance switched on and unattended.
This will also save energy and prolong the life of the
appliance.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE USE
• Make sure that you have removed all packaging material
from the product.
• Before using the product for the first time, clean the food
contact parts as described in the "Cleaning" section.
• Before switching on the machine, check that the steam
control (D) is closed.
• Before using the product for the first time, it is advisable
to use it only with lukewarm water.
NOTE: The machine may make noise when pumping water
for the first time; this is normal.
CIRCUIT PRIMING
• This simple operation ensures an optimal supply and
must be carried out:
- At the first start-up.
- When the machine remains unused for a long period
of time (1 or 2 weeks).
- After steaming.
- When the tank has run out of water.
• Fill the water tank, taking care to respect the "MIN" and
"MAX" level marks.
• Plug the appliance into the mains.
• Press the on/off switch (C).
• Without the filter holder in place (or with the filter holder
in place, but without coffee), place a container under the
steaming tube (I).
• Open the steam knob (D) by turning it anticlockwise.
• Water will come out of the steam pipe. Wait for about one
cupful of water to come out.
• To end delivery, close the steam knob (D) by turning it
clockwise.
• This completes the priming operation.
WATER FILLING
• The tank (E) must be filled with water before starting the
appliance.
• Open the cover (F).
