ENGLISH
1. Components included
- Guide column (4) with camera carrier (5)
- Four fastening screws (24) with washers
- Control box (10)
- Mains lead
- Cable remote control (2)
In addition three socket wrenches (19-21), a pack of spind-
le grease and a mounting bush (22) for cameras with 1/4"
thread are included.
2. Assembly
The column can be mounted in the base of the floor stand
5615 or the wall mount 5614 as well as in the base 5610
(e.g. mounted on the floor stand 5618). Insert the column
(4) into the base (1) from the rear so that the two pins in the
base are inserted in the corresponding holes in the col-
umn. Then put the four fastening screws (24) together with
the respective washers into the holes provided (Fig. C),
and tighten them up with the 6 mm socket wrench (21)
supplied. Then check that the column and pedestal are
firmly attached.
Now connect the spiral cable (8) coming from the travelling
carriage (35) to the socket (15) at the control box (10). The
cable remote control (2) is connected to the socket (14).
3. Start-up
Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the opera-
ting voltage given on the type plate of the control box (10).
Then connect it with the mains lead to the mains.
Turn on the unit with the switch (13) at the control box (10).
The switch will light up red.
4. Camera fastening
The camera carrier (5) is suitable for all photographic, pro-
fessional, film, video and television cameras up to a weight
of 15 kg (33 lbs.).
Fasten the camera by means of the mounting bush (6) on
the mounting plate (7) of the camera carrier.
The standard 3/8" mounting thread can be replaced by the
1/4" mounting thread included (22). To do this, undo the
screw (26) (e.g. with a coin) and replace the 3/8" thread by
the 1/4" thread.
The mounting screw can be fitted in three different height
positions (36a, 36b, 36c) on the camera mounting plate.
Undo the locking screw (25) to move the camera side-
ways.
To adjust and tilt the camera, the camera carrier (5) can be
tilted upwards and downwards by a maximum of 90° in
each direction, and fixed in any position. Proceed as follo-
ws: Secure the position of the camera with your hand and loo-
sen the locking screw (31). Align the camera. Use the fine ad-
justment handle (38) for sensitive adjustment. Then retighten
