As long as the temperature display on the thermometer is flashing, you can set the target temperature using the
buttons
.
If the temperature setting has not been changed for 5 seconds, the display stops flashing and lights up permanent-
ly. After a further 5 seconds, the display changes from the target temperature to the current temperature.
As soon as the target temperature is reached in the food, an acoustic signal sounds.
If a cooking time has been preset, the timer runs in the background while the thermometer is being used. As soon
as the thermometer is removed from the appliance, the timer becomes visible again.

Cleaning and care

Switch off the appliance before cleaning or user maintenance and disconnect it
from the mains. Never hold the appliance under running water and do not
immerse it in water or other liquids. The plates are very hot during the frying
process. It can take over 1 hour for the plates to cool down completely. Use oven
gloves when removing the plates if necessary.
1. Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
2. Remove the plates by opening the grill and releasing the plates by pressing firmly on the release buttons.
3. Clean the appliance by wiping it with a damp cloth.
4. The thermometer must not placed in water or cleaned in the dishwasher. Clean the metal spike of the thermome-
ter with a damp cloth.
5. Remove the drip tray and empty it. The drip tray can be cleaned by hand or in the dishwasher.
6. The plates can cleaned in the dishwasher, although frequent cleaning could affect the properties of the coating. It
is therefore recommended to clean the plates by hand.
7. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads for cleaning.

Maintain the quality of the non-stick coating in the long term by

only kitchen utensils made of wood or plastic.
Do not cut directly on the plates.
Do not use steel sponges or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning.
Do not operate the appliance for long periods when empty.
Do not place / rinse the plates in water until they have cooled down.
Rub the plates with a little oil after cleaning
