Selection of laminating film and object to be coated
1. Selection of laminating film
The quality of the laminating film
life. It is recommended that you purchase and use good quality laminating film like
ProfiOffice laminating pouches.
Temperature for lamination varies with the thickness of the laminating film. Over-
temperature will lead to failure of lamination and damage to the machine.
2. Selection of object to be coated
The selection of medium for document is important in the process of lamination, which
affects the laminating quality and relates to the service life of the machine and faults. So,
never use the following objects for lamination:
A) Flammable or fusible objects or those that shrink when heated.
B) Unique or irreproducible important objects.
C) Object of more than1 mm in thickness when overlapped by the laminating film.
D) Heat sensitive paper or object painted with crayon which changes color and
deteriorates when heated.
E) Graphics with only one side and only one side requiring coating.
F) Overlong graphics (longer than the laminating film).
G) Credit card and other magnetic items.
H) Object with bent surface.
I) Object with irregular surface.
J) Media coated with resin and special oil-containing printed matter.
K) Damp printed matter and more.
