Setting up and switching on the laminator
1 2 3
• Set the laminator up on a stable surface (e.g. table) close to a
mains outlet.
Ensure there is sufficient space behind the unit so the laminated
item is not blocked and can easily be removed.
• Connect the laminator to the mains outlet.
• Using the switch on the reverse of the machine, turn the machine
ON and press the Standby button on the user interface. Then
select the machine setting (75/100/125/175) on the user interface
to match the thickness of your chosen pouches (see table above).
• SMART status LED will light red during warm-up. When the
product has reached the selected temperature, the LED will turn
green.
Inserting the document into the pouch
• Insert the document into the laminating pouch. Align it to the
sealed edge as much as possible and maintain even margins left
and right.
Pouches that are too large can be trimmed to size after lamination.

• When the POWER/READY LED indicator lights green, insert the
pouch with the sealed edge first until it gets pulled in.
• To ensure straight feeding of a pouch, please use the SMART
entry guide LEDs to help with alignment.
The laminated document automatically exits at the output side.
Letting the laminated document cool down
• Remove the laminated document and leave it on a flat surface for
one minute to cool down.
• When you have no further documents to laminate, switch off the
laminator.
Clearing a jammed pouch
• Jamming can occur when laminating unsuitable materials.
CAUTION: To prevent any damages to the laminator, the pouch must
be removed before switching off the unit.
• Press and hold the manual reverse button on the top of the
machine. The pouch will be reversed back towards the user.
• Clean the rollers after any pouch jam as described in section
"Maintenance and care".
• This machine also features an Auto reverse feature. In the event
of a jam, or the pouch not exiting the machine properly, sensors
will detect an issue and automatically reverse the pouch back out
of the machine.

last laminate, the machine will enter standby mode. This will be
indicated by the LEDs flashing red every 2 seconds. To operate the
machine, press the power button on the user interface.
