The Surface Latch model is designed for in-swing* gates with
a thickness between 35mm (1 3 / ) to 60mm (2

*The latch bolt can be reversed to suit an outswing door.
If installing to an outswing door an additional strike plate should
be fitted to the post, frame, or closed leaf to protect the timber
from damage when the gate or door closes.
A Surface Keep plate is included as standard. Optional Plates
are available on request, if required.
