VOLTAGE TESTER
Retain this instruction manual for future
reference. If this product is given to a third
party the manual must be provided as well.
Voltages shown by the voltage tester are
nominal voltages.
DANGER! Danger of electric shock!
The voltage tester must only be used to
test AC voltages.
The tester must only be used for
voltages within the range of 125 to
250 V~.
Do not use the voltage tester if its
function and/or safety are visibly
compromised.
The voltage tester should only be used
under dry conditions.
The voltage tester must not be exposed
to moisture, such as dew or rainfall.
WARNING! Never use the voltage tester
as a screwdriver on the live parts of an
appliance.
Prior to each use:
1. Shortly before use, check if the
voltage tester and insulation jacket
are functioning correctly. A damaged
voltage tester must not be used.
2. Check the function of the voltage
tester's neon glow lamp on a
connected power socket. A damaged
or dysfunctional voltage tester must be
disposed of immediately.
WARNING! Failure to perceive the
m
light indicator does not guarantee
the absence of voltage.
The following factors may affect the
light indicator:
Adverse lighting conditions, such as
sunlight
Temperatures outside the range of
–10 °C to +50 °C
Frequencies outside the range of 50 to
500 Hz
Unfavourable locations such as on
wooden ladders, insulating floor
coverings and with non-permanently
grounded AC wiring
To determine whether AC voltage is
present, follow these steps:
1. Hold the tip of the voltage tester to a
contact point of the electrical wiring.
2. Touch the other end of the voltage
tester with a finger.
The neon glow lamp will be illuminated if
AC power is present.
