Hold the power tool only by the insu-
■
lated handles when you are carrying
out work in which the drill bit may
come into contact with concealed
power cables . Contact with a live cable
may also cause metal parts of the tool to
become live and could result in an elec-
tric shock.
Wear a dust mask .
■
Safety information for using long drill
bits with hammer drills
Always start drilling at a low speed
■
and with the drill bit in contact with
the workpiece. At higher speeds, the
drill bit can bend slightly if allowed to
turn freely without being in contact with
the workpiece, and this can lead to
injuries.
Do not exert excessive pressure and
■
only along the length of the drill bit (no
lateral pressure). Drill bits can bend and
break which can lead to a loss of control
and injuries.

►
the instructions on charging and
correct use given in the operating
instructions for your
battery and charger.
A detailed description of the charging
process and further information can
be found in these separate operating
instructions.
NOTE

►
before use. You can charge the lithium-
ion battery at any time without short-
ening its service life. Interrupting the
charging process does not damage
the battery.
Never charge the battery pack if the
►
ambient temperature is below 10°C or
above 40°C. If a lithium-ion battery is
to be stored for an extended period,
the charge level should be checked
regularly. The optimum charge level is
between 50% and 80%. The storage
climate should be cool and dry, and
the ambient temperature should be
between 0°C and 50°C.
The recommended ambient tempera-
►
ture range for using tools and batteries
is between –5°C and 50°C.
If necessary, remove the battery from
