Turn the rotary volume switch clockwise to power on and adjust the sound level for
comfortable reception.
≫ ≫ ≫ ≫ How to start the country switching (European Multi-standard support)
AE 6490 has the present and future European Multi-standard support as explained
below.
Please note that it is important to use the correct country code switching as long as the
European countries have not yet adopted the latest common European standard rules
for future CB (EU*).The future code is "E " which is now already allowed in Spain and
Italy. It is still illegal to use any radio with a country selection switch in Austria (latest
info June 2010). For Austria, we deliver a fixed version AE 6490 FM on request. If you
are in doubt, select EC setting and use only FM.
Sooner or later all European countries will accept AM and FM with both 4 Watts.
This setting is already in Your radio available as E position.
• Switch the Power on, while keeping the required button pressed for each
country setting
• Then release button(s) again
