Connection to an AC Power Line
The equipment is set for either 230 V/50 and 60 Hz or
115 V/
50 and 60 Hz supplies. Changes for other voltages or frequencies
should only be made by qualified dealers or Dual service per-
sonnel to ensure that the necessary safety precautions are main-
tained,
Piease check that the power requirements as specified on the
equipment's name plate agree with the local mains supply.

Output jacks for connection to an amplifier or receiver with
RCA (cinch) connections. The correct audio cable for the con-
nections is Part No. 226 817.

With these accessories your equipment can be driven from all
sources which can be connected to your HiFi amplifier (turn-
table, tuner etc.).
The special audio cable with RCA (cinch) plugs is available
from qualified dealers.
Playback of recorded cassettes
Switching power on and off
The unit is switched on by pressing the POWER button (1);
the cassette holder illumination (6) indicates that the unit is
ready for operation. Simultaneously, the protective cover for
the heads is retracted.
Tape type selection
The meters (24) are provided with two scales. The upper scale
must be used for FeCr and metal tapes and the lower scale
must be used for Fe and Cr tapes. The setting is indicated by
the appropriate LED ((28) for Fe and Cr, (26) for FeCr and
metal).
For tape types which you cannot find on the table contained
in the annex, the following list of tape data will help you to
find the correct switch position,

Musicagsettes should be played in switch position Fe or Cr ac-
cording to the data on the cassette. If designation or other in-
formation on the tape type is missing, select switch position Fe.
