5.2 POSITIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS

Put on the backpack and adjust the shoulder straps, sternum strap and waist belt to fit. Also adjust the crotch strap, which will prevent the pack
from slipping if an avalanche occurs.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

6.1 PRIOR ROUTINE CHECKS

To ensure the system operates correctly, it is advisable to perform the following checks:
• unfold the airbag before the start of each season or al least once a year, or if the pack has been exposed to moisture. Check its condition and, if
necessary, dry it out completely before refolding.
• before each use, check all the points described in this user's manual and check the condition of the system and of the straps and closures.
• Check cartridge weight : The minimum weight is indicated on the cartridge label (MGWT). If the weight is less than the minimum weight, do not
use the cartridges. Check that the cartridges have not been used during a previous inflation. A used cartridge can be easily identified by a hole
in the cartridge membrane.
AIRBAG 3.0 OPERATIONAL = VISIBLE GREEN INDICATOR + FULL CARTRIDGES
• When you inflate, the pressure of the cartridges will automatically raise the springs, and in majority of cases the springs do not need to be re-
armed. However, it is possible that at very low temperatures, the springs may not reset automatically, which is entirely normal as the pressure is
lower. Always check that the green indicator is visible, indicating that the system is operational, before screwing in cartridges.
Please note that, as the springs automatically reset after inflation, the green indicator will be visible, but the cartridges will be empty af-
ter inflation. The green indicator means that the springs are reset but does not provide any indication about the cartridges. It is therefore

they will be pierced during screwing.
Put on the pack and adjust the
shoulder straps, sternum strap,
waist belt and crotch strap to fit.
Open the zip to release the
activation handle from its
compartment.
Close the inflator's
protective cover.
Before starting your
excursion, practise the
motion of grabbing the
handle, but without
activating it!
