CARTRIDGES

Always use original ALPRIDE cartridges.
Do not damage the cartridges.
Do not touch them with bare hands during discharge.
UNEXPECTED ACTIVATION
To prevent any unexpected or accidental activation of the system in surroundings where other people could be injured by the airbag inflating,it is
advisable to slow the activation handle in the compartment provided for this purpose on the backpack shoulder strap; and to close the zip, especially
on a chair lift, in a gondola lift or cable car, on or around a helicopter, in a car, or in any public-transport vehicle.

4 CARTRIDGES

4.1 INSTRUCTIONS

ALPRIDE cartridges are based on a proven technology used for marine life vests. They are guaranteed
leakproof and require no special care.
You can travel by plane with these cartridges, as their standard is approved by IATA (International Air
Transport Association).
The ALPRIDE cartridge set can only be used once. After the ALPRIDE airbag system has been activated,
the cartridges must be removed and replaced by a new set.
ALPRIDE cartridges are disposable and cannot be recharged.
ALPRIDE cartridges are the same in all ALPRIDE airbag system products. They must only be used with
an ALPRIDE airbag system.
The cartridges must be stored in a well-ventilated place away from heat and sunlight.
The cartridges must not be damaged.
The minimum weight of each cartridge is indicated on the cartridge label (MGWT) which should be checked regularly to ensure that the cartridge is
full and leak-free. If the weight measured on the scale is less than the MGWT, the cartridge must not be used.
Keep away from children.
4.2 TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS (2X ARGON CARTRIDGES)
The gas contained in the cartridges is pressurised at 22.3 MPa.
The volume of each cartridge is 85 ml
The cartridges are intended for use in a temperature range of -30°C to +50°C.

PRIOR INSTRUCTIONS

If an avalanche occurs, pull the activation handle to discharge the gases contained in the cartridges. The 150 litre airbag will inflate in about
three seconds. The ALPRIDE 3.0 AIRBAG System concept is based on the physical principle of inverse segregation: in a flow of granular
material (landslide, avalanche, etc.), the largest items rise to the surface and the smallest gather at the bottom. Once the airbag has inflated,
the ALPRIDE 3.0 AIRBAG System maximises the skier's volume and thus minimises the risk of burial. The shape of the airbag protects the
skier's back and head. Its bright colour makes it easier to locale in the avalanche.
