Important:
For textile sun protection: creases occur during manufacture and when folding the awning fabrics. At the same time surface
effects can occur in the crease, particularly in the case of light colours which appear darker against light. Folds in the hem, seam
and fabric lengths occur where there are multiple layers of the woven fabric and different rolling thicknesses on the fabric
roller. The resulting fabric tension can cause waviness (e.g. honeycomb or fish bone patterns). In principle, these effects occur
to varying degrees in almost all awning fabrics. Creases and folds reduce do not reduce the value and usability of an awning.
Awnings and conservatory awnings are sun protection devices which should be retracted when it is raining or windy.

Cause
– No power
– Remote control not working (defective)
– Dead batteries in remote control
– Motor is too hot and has been shut down
by the thermo protector
– Sensor has no power
– Sensor is dirty or covered
– Sensor not aligned horizontally
– Sensor damaged
– Normal assembly tolerances or accumulati-
ons of material may appear while powder
coating the parts
– Minor scratches may occur despite the
greatest care during powder coating and
assembly.
– Creaking sounds occur when different
materials assembled next to each other
expand differently during changes in
temperature.
– Strong breeze
– Bearing surfaces not lubricated
– Stripy patterns due to rainwater drai-
ning along the profile (dirt and limescale
deposits)
– Wrinkles are caused by the different
winding diameter of the fabric in the area
of the seam/ side seam around the actual
fabric. This causes the fabric to twist and
the wrinkles to form.
– Drive not properly set
– Projection profile not straight, diagonals
not right
– Construction not correctly aligned
– Flat rope guide incorrectly fitted
– Please note for ceiling mounting and
Volant Plus with solar motor, that the solar
battery may not be sufficiently charged
when the awning is retracted due to lack
of direct sunlight. Even if the Volant Plus is
not used (e.g. in winter), the motor consu-
mes a very small amount of battery power.
– Connectors of the battery and Volant Plus
motor cables are not plugged together
correctly.
Remedy
• Connect to the mains (authorised personnel only)
• Replace the remote control (retailer and partner)
• Replace the battery!
• Wait approx. 15 to 20 minutes until the drive has cooled down!
• Establish a mains connection (fitter / specialist company)!
• Clean, remove vegetation!
• Align sensor horizontally!
• Replace sensor (fitter / specialist company)!
• Cannot be remedied!
• With the enclosed touch-up pen!
• Have the awning serviced by a specialist company, and have
them check the fixing screws and grease all moving bearing sur-
faces! Noises which still occur after maintenance are unavoidable
and are mostly due to the expansion of components due to the
effect of heat.
• Maintenance and care (suitable specialist retailer)
• Clean regularly!
• Wrinkling is due to the design and not an installation error or
product fault!
• Correct the drive settings (specialist retailer only)
• Align the construction (specialist retailer only)

• In such cases, we recommend extending the awning into the sun
for a few hours.
