NOTICE! Risk of product damage! The
pump may run dry during manual operation!
Note: The minimum residual water level is
only reached during manual operation, as
the pump switches off prematurely in auto-
matic operating mode.
Attach the float switch in such a way that it points ver-
tically upwards.
The pump remains switched on irrespective of the
water level.

Cleaning the appliance externally
Rinse with clean water. Remove stubborn contamina-
tion with a brush and detergent.
Submerge the pump in a container with clean water
and switch on for a short time to rinse the inside of the
pump.
Note: Before using the pump again, first
"soak" it so that any possible dirt residues do
not block the appliance.
Storing
If there is a risk of frost, dismantle the appliance and
accessories, clean them and store in a place pro-
tected from frost.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the appli-
ance! Frost destroys the appliance and
accessories as these always contain water!
Malfunctions and troubleshooting
In the event of a malfunction...
DANGER! Danger of physical injury and
death! Improperly conducted repairs may
prevent your appliance from working safely.
Such repairs will endanger you and your sur-
roundings.
Malfunctions are often caused by minor faults. You
can easily remedy most of these yourself. Please
consult the following table before contacting the ven-
dor. You will save yourself a lot of trouble and possibly
money too.
Remedy
Check cables, plug, socket and fuse.
Eliminate the cause of the overheating (max.
temperature of liquid ► Technical data –
p. 21).
Activate RCCB.
Contact qualified electrician if RCCB triggers
again.
Rectify blockage.
Keep the pump at an angle while submerging.
Switch the pump on and off several times in or-
der to expel air.
Comply with maximum delivery height
(► Technical data – p. 21).
Rectify blockage.
Clean suction opening.
Straighten pressure line.
Seal pressure pipe.
Ensure there is sufficient liquid present.
Keep the pump at an angle while submerging.
Pull out the plug.
Ensure that the float switch can move suffi-
ciently.
