Operation
Installation
The appliance needs an area of at least 50 × 50 cm
(the float switch must be able to move freely so that it
functions properly) (► P. 4, fig. 4).
The appliance can be submerged under water up to
the submerged operating depth mentioned in the
technical data.
Install the appliance so that the suction openings can-
not be blocked by foreign bodies (place the machine
on a firm, even base if necessary).
Alternatively, the device can be hung into a reservoir.
NOTICE! Risk of appliance damage! Do
not lift the pump with the cable or pressure
hose as these are not designed for the ten-
sile stress from the weight of the pump.
– Submerge the pump at an angle into the liquid to
be delivered so that no air pocket forms on the
underside of the machine. The suction would be
prevented by this. Once the pump is submerged,
it can be righted again.
– Adjust the height of the pressure pipe such that
the pump is immersed as deeply as possible into
the rainwater barrel (► P. 3, fig. 2).
– Lower the device into the reservoir or hang it onto
the rim using the hook (3).
Operation
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the appli-
ance! Do not allow the appliance to dry-run.
– Push the pressure hose onto the hose connection
and allow it to engage.
– Open the stop-cock.
Automatic operation
NOTICE! Risk of product damage! The
float switch must be able to move so that the
submersible pump cannot run dry.

After the appliance has been connected to the mains
power supply, it is switched on and off automatically
by the float switch:
• The pump begins to deliver when the float switch
is lifted up by the liquid [1].
• The pump switches off when the float switch has
sunk to the bottom [2].
The cable for the float switch can be adjusted in the
cable holder [3]. The distance between cut-in and
cut-off point is adjusted in this way:
• Short cable: Cut-in and cut-off points are very
close together.
• Long cable: Cut-in and cut-off points are very far
apart.
