• Das elektronische Überwachungs-/
Schaltmodul 8PM-I-Bus darf nur bestim-
mungsgemäß und in unbeschädigtem und ein-
wandfreiem Zustand verwendet werden!
• Für den Austausch und die Reparatur dürfen
nur Originalersatzteile von Eaton verwendet
werden .
• Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme muss das
Modul entsprechend der Anleitung überprüft
werden (siehe Abschnitt Installation) .
• Bei Arbeiten am elektronischen Gerät
darauf achten, dass dieses spannungs-
frei ist! Achten Sie auf die unterschiedli-
chen Stromversorgungen im Netz- oder
Batteriebetrieb .
• Beachten Sie die nationalen
Sicherheitsvorschriften und -Vorschriften
zur Unfallverhütung sowie die in die-
ser Bedienungsanleitung enthaltenen
Sicherheitshinweise, die mit dem
kennzeichnet sind .
1 Normenkonformität
Entspricht: EMV-Richtlinie 2014/30/EU,
Niederspannungsrichtlinie 2014/35/EU, RoHS-
Richtlinie 2011/65/EU, für den Betrieb an
Notbeleuchtungsanlagen gemäß DIN EN 50172,
DIN VDE 0100-560 (IEC 60364-5-56) und DIN
VDE V 108-100 .
Entwickelt, gefertigt und geprüft nach DIN EN
ISO 9001 .
2 Beschreibung/
Verwendungsbereich
Das elektronische Überwachungsmodul dient
als Lichtschalterabfrage, wodurch Leuchten
der Allgemeinbeleuchtung und Leuchten
der Sicherheitsbeleuchtung im Netzbetrieb
gemeinsam geschaltet werden können, sowie
als 3-Phasenüberwachung in Verbindung mit
EATON Sicherheitsbeleuchtungs anlagen Typ
DualGuard-S, ZB-S und AT-S+ .

• The electronic monitoring/switch module
8PM-I-Bus shall only be used for its inten-
ded purpose and in undamaged and per-
fect condition!
• Only genuine Eaton spare parts may be
used for replacement and repair
• Prior to its initial operation, the module
will have to be checked in line with the
instructions (see installation sector)
• When working on the electronic device
make sure that it is disconnected from
the voltage! Pay attention to the different
power supplies in mains or battery opera-
tion .
• Observe the national safety rules and re-
gulations to prevent accidents as well as

1 Conformity with standards

Lighting Systems according to DIN EN 50172,

2 Description/Scope
of application
The electronic monitoring module is used for
light switch monitoring, in this way the general
lighting and luminaires for the safety lighting can
be switched together during mains operation .
The module is also used for phase and switch
monitoring in conjunction with EATON safety
lighting systems of type DualGuard-S, ZB-S und
AT-S+ .
