WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
READ THIS BEFORE USING AND KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS
The following basic safety precautions should always be taken.
1. Close supervision is necessary when the thermometer is used by,
on, or near children or handicapped. Only adults can use the device
to take a temperature of a child.
2. Use the device only for the intended use described in this manual. If
the device is used in a manner not specified within this manual, the
protection provided by the device may be impaired.
3. Do not try to modify the device to prevent any dangers.
4. Avoid heavy impact, or dropping the thermometer.
5. As the body site for measurement may be affected by sweat, oil,
and the surrounding temperature, the reading shall be taken as a
reference only.
6. Do not use the thermometer if flammable anesthetic mixtures are
present.
7. Do not use the thermometer if it is not working properly, or if it has
suffered any damage. Do not try to fix it by yourself.
8. Do not use accessories which are not supplied or recommended
by the manufacturer. Other accessories may negatively affect EMC
performance.
9. Household electronic devices such as humidifiers, heaters or
microwaves, and so on may be susceptible to cause interference
with the device.
10. Do not expose the device to strong electrostatic fields or strong
magnetic fields to avoid inaccurate results.
11. If abnormal behavior is observed due to EM disturbances, please
relocate the device accordingly.
12. Use of this device adjacent to or stacked with other devices should
be avoided as it could result in improper operation.
13. Any part of the thermometer should be used no closer than 30 cm
(12 inches) to wireless communication devices, such as networking
devices, mobile phones, and walkie-talkies, or it can result in error
display or inaccurate results.
