· Press the on/off switch to turn off the egg cooker.
· Always unplug the appliance after use and allow the appliance to cool down.
· Carefully remove the lid from the housing. Only touch it by the handles and only place it on surfaces that are insensitive to heat.
· Then remove the egg holder by its handles from the housing and chill the eggs under cold water.
· Note: In spite of using the same amount of water and number of eggs, the hardness of the eggs can vary somewhat. This depends on the respective size of
the eggs.
Cleaning and care
· Always pull out the power cord before cleaning and allow the appliance to cool down.
· Do not use any sharp or pointed objects, benzine, solvents, scrubbing brushes or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning.
· Clean the egg holder, the measuring cup and the lid with warm water and a mild detergent. Wipe the housing and the water container with a soft, slightly
moistened cloth only.
· Attention: Never immerse the egg cooker, the cable or the plug in water or other liquids and do not clean these parts in the dishwasher.
· Make sure that the device is completely dry before using it again.
Decalcifying
From time to time, it may be necessary to decalcify your egg cooker. The intervals are determined by the lime content of your water. In the event of a small
amount of lime having deposited itself in the water container, we recommend using vinegar for carrying out a gentle decalcification.
· Fill some vinegar in the measuring cup and add water (in case of an intense calcification a decalcification agent should be used).
· Place this mixture into the water container, leave it for approx. 30 minutes and then pour it out.
· Do not boil this mixture in the device.
· Wipe the water container out with a moist cloth and then dry it off.
