Freezing and storing
Freezing capacity
You can freeze the following amounts of
food within a period of 24 hours and at
once:

Place food products in the upper compart-
ment directly on the freezing tray. If
freezing is done in the,freezing baskets,the
freezing capacity will be slightly lower.
Wrapping food
Use only fresh, unspoiled food products.
Ensure that the food is wrapped up well
and airtight so that it does not lose in taste
or get freezer burn.
'Label the food packagesto indicate their
contents and mark the freezing date.
How
to freeze
All parts of the appliance are suitable for
freezing fresh food.
Larger amounts of food should be preferably
be frozen directlyon the freeiing trays; this
area of the appliance freezes particularly
quickly, which is gentler on the food:
Place food items flat against the freezing
trays and observe that fresh food does not
come in contact With products which are
already frozen. If necessary, remove any
frozen food stored on the trays and move to
the freezing baskets or stack on the lower
freezing tray, Place the artificial ice-blocks*
(coolingaccumulators)directly on top of the
products.(Fig. 0/14)
Super freeze
If there is frozen food already stored in the
freezer, switch on the super-freeze a couple
of hours before putting in fresh products to
freeze.
In general it is sufficient to switch it on
4-6 hoursin advance. If the entire freezing
capacityis required,it willbe necessary
to switch on the super-freeze
advance.

Smaller amounts of food (up to 2 kg) may
be frozen without switching on the super-
freeze.
To turn-on the super-freeze,simply press
the super-freeze switch Fig. 0/3.
The yellow control lamp goes on to indicate
that the super-freeze is in operation,
The refrigerating machine now works
continuously and the temperature inside the
appliance is lower.
After depositing the fresh goods inside the
freezer, the super-freeze may be switched
off. From this point on the appliance controls
the freezing process automatically; i.e. it will
switch back to normal operation at the
appropriate moment to ensure safe storage
of products at the lowest possible rate of
energy consumption.
Storing food
After freezing, do not remove the artificial
ice blocks from the top compartment.

If a large quantity of food needs be
accomodated,
all freezer baskets except
for the bottom one may be removed from
the appliance and food may be stacked
dikectly onto. t he freezingtrays.
So as not to hinder
air circulation
appliance, ensure that food does not project
over the limit markings Fig. 9/15. Bottles
and jars containing fluids that can freeze
should not be stored in the appliance.
Bottles and jars burst when the contents
freezes.

If possible, store similar food products in one
given compartment.
For easy identification of contents push
the frozen goods indicator Fig. 0/9 to the
relevant symbol.
