TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
To make it easier to transport the rollator and save space when
storing it, the front wheels can be turned and the a achment of the
rear wheels can be removed (Figure 9).
FRONT WHEELS
To release the front caster lock, press the red latch (Figure 10). Then
pull the front wheels forward and rotate them 180° upward. To use
the rollator again, pull the front casters forward and rotate them
downward. A click means that the casters are in the right posi on;
you can now adjust the seat accordingly.
REAR WHEELS
Then fold the lever (Figure 11). In the last step, press the bu on
and slide the rear caster mechanism downwards. Note that the rear
wheels are always connected to the rollator via the brake cable.
To unfold them, push the rear caster mechanism back into the frame.
A click means that the wheels are in the right posi on. The lever
should now be folded back.
Make sure that the rear wheels are properly secured, and that the
brake works properly.
MOVING AROUND WITH THE HELP OF A WHEELED ROLLATOR
First, check the operation of the rollator on a level, dry surface. If possible, ask another person to help. At
first, take time to test the use of the rollator, and once you become confident in using it, you can start using
it on inclined surfaces.
NOTE: When moving with the rollator, be sure not to move too far away from the
handles. Do not hunch over.
You choose the speed and direction of movement by pushing the rollator yourself. To reduce the speed of
movement, use the brakes. Always use both brakes when braking. Otherwise, the rollator may turn on one
wheel and cause the user to fall.
Obstacles that appear on the road should be circumvented. If there are steps in the road, look for a ramp, if
the obstacle is stairs, use an elevator. If this is not possible, the rollator should be moved over the obstacle.
As far as possible, another person should be asked to help.
