10. Operation

If you operate the outdoor unit and the mobile unit next to each other for test purposes, observe
that there may be a loud feedback loop via the microphone and speaker.
This is normal.
Just keep a distance of several metres between the outdoor unit and the mobile unit to avoid
such feedback loops while testing. Alternatively, you can temporarily tape several pieces of iso-
lation tape onto the microphone openings.

a) Unfolding the Mobile Unit's Aerial

To optimise the range, you can unfold the aerial of the mobile unit.
Move the unlocking clip (see chapter 7. b), position 10) to the right. The aerial will jump out
a little.
Now fold the aerial vertically up.
To fold in the aerial, turn it down until it latches.

b) Switching the Module Unit On/Off

The mobile unit can be switched off, e.g. if you want to be undisturbed at night.

If the mobile unit is off, it will not react when the bell button on the outdoor unit is pushed.
After the mobile unit is activated, a brief welcome message appears in the display. After a few
seconds, the display goes out and the mobile unit is in standby mode.

c) Visitor Rings at the Outdoor Unit

• If a visitor rings at the outdoor unit, standby mode is ended and the camera of the outdoor unit comes on
(depending on the ambient brightness, the white LEDs may come on). The camera image appears on the
screen of the mobile unit.
A bell melody comes from the speaker of the mobile unit.

return to standby.
