Install the outdoor unit only on a stable surface, but not on metal surfaces or near any other
electrical/electronic devices.
When drilling or tightening screws, ensure that no wires or lines are damaged! This also applies
when placing the connection cables (voltage/current supply and door opener) and any masonry
work that may be needed for this.
• Connect the external voltage/power supply and the door opener to the terminal block. Depending on the
door opener used, the corresponding circuits are required.
The outdoor unit has a potential-free relay switching contact. Thus, the relay offers both an NC
contact (normally closed) and an NO contact (normally open).
The contact resilience of the relay can be found at the end of the operating instructions in the
chapter on „Technical Data".
Door opener of type „Fail Secure" (working current door opener):
This door opener is commonly used for apartment
doors.
The trap lock of the door opener is only unlocked
when operating voltage is pending, e.g. when the
door opener button in the apartment is pushed.
Then the door can be opened and the visitor is
let in. The door is locked if no operating current
is pending.
Connect your door opener and power supply to the
terminals „NO" and „C" as shown on the right.
If the door opener works with direct voltage, ob-
serve polarity.
Door openers of type „Fail Safe" (quiescent current door opener):
This is a special door opener, e.g. used for a door
to be used as an escape route.
The trap lock of this door opener is only unlocked
when there is no operating current. This permits
leaving of the room in case of power failure since
the door opener unlocks the door.
Connect your door opener and power supply to the
terminals „NC" and „C" as shown on the right.
If the door opener works with direct voltage, ob-
serve polarity.
