General
notes
In Germany only heaters with a nominal pressure of
50 mbar (500 mm WS) must be used!
Any air grills in the floors of motor vehicles must be
placed so that no exhaust gas or petrol vapour can enter
the
interior
of the
vehicle.
if the heater is fitted into special vehicles, for example
for the transport of dangerous goods. the regulations
applicable
to such vehicles must be observed.
if the floor of the vehicle is subsequently undersealed it
is essential that ail projecting
parts of the heater and
ventilation
grills are protected from spray.
Approval
The heater is checked by DVGW (German Association
f
gas and water experts).

the flame failure device takes to cool down (approx. 30

when the van is in a garage.
5. When the heater is lit for the first time you may notice
some fumes and a smell. Toget rid of these, run the hea•
ter on a high setting for a short time with good ventilatior
to the vehicle.
6. The underfloor
parts of the heater must be
free from dirt and snow. The intake port of the heate
must not be in the splash zone of the wheels. If neces
sary mount a splash guard.
In winter clear the snow from around
fore lighting (in motor vehicles keep the T-cowl free
snow). We recommend
7. The nut at the cowl must be tightened again
some hours
of run of the heater.
The exhaust duct and all supplies must be checked
gularly, in any case after detonations (misfires) and
drives. It is imperative
continually

II. If the burner makes a strange noise or the flame lift
off this may be due to a defective regulator. Have the

and if necessary exchange it.
12. The compulsory
ventilation holes in the vehick
must not be closed. They only serve for the supply
as other

the dust is removed from the heat exchanger. To do this
remove the front case by pulling the bottom of it
and lifting it Off.
