General information
In choosing the "premium heater" mod. Ecomat2000 you have purchased one of the best and safest
appliances for leisure and residential use.
To make sure you get the most out of your heater, read these instructions carefully.
The Ecomat2000 is exceptionally safe, economical and very quiet. It is particularly suitable for
unsupervised continuous operation in living areas and for leisure purposes in a caravan or boat.
General information on care and maintenance
Maintenance of the appliance
Never attempt to open the appliance and repair it as you may be exposing yourself to dangerous voltages
or other risks by removing the cover. Have all repairs that become due only carried out by a qualifi ed
engineer.
If the following conditions arise, disconnect the appliance from the mains socket and have it repaired by a
qualifi ed engineer:
• The power cord or plug is damaged or worn.
• Liquid has been spilt on the appliance.
• The appliance has been exposed to rain or water.
• The appliance has been dropped and the casing has been damaged.
• The power output of the appliance signifi cantly deteriorates to the extent that a repair is necessary.
• The appliance will only work properly if it is operated in accordance with the instructions.
Starting up for the fi rst time
When you start up the heater for the fi rst time it may produce a slight odour. This is caused by the
coating on the motor coil of the ball bearing fan.
Our recommendation: Run the heater for 48 hours at the highest fan speed (without heating), after this
the odour will have dispersed.
Care of appliance
Dust fi lter
A dust fi lter is inserted on the rear of the appliance. The dust fi lter must be removed from the holder in
order to clean it.
To do this, remove the plastic fi lter cover by gripping it with your hands and pulling it out of the holder.
You can then take out the dust fi lter mat and clean it.
When reinserting the clean dust fi lter mat, apply gentle pressure with your fi ngers to push the cover back
into the frame.
