6. Operation
6.1 Connection to the measuring station
• After the batteries are inserted, the base station automatically
searches for a connection to the measuring station and the
radio signal.
Note
• The initial search for the measuring station can take up to
3 minutes, the search for the radio signal can take up to
7 minutes.
• If the base station does not receive a signal from the
measuring station, it automatically starts searching for the
radio signal after 3 minutes.
• The corresponding symbols ash during each connection
attempt:
Connection to the measuring station,
Connection to the DCF signal
• Avoid any operation of the buttons during this time!
Otherwise, errors and inaccuracies may occur in the values
and their transmission.
• Do not change the location of the base station during
searches.
• The process is nished as soon as the indoor (17) and
outdoor (13) measurement data are displayed.
6.2 Basic settings and manual settings
Automatic setting according to the DCF signal
• After switching on the base station for the rst time and
successfully transferring data between the base station and
measuring station, the clock automatically starts the search

Note – Setting the time
• The search process can last up to 10 minutes. If this fails,

Note – Setting the time
• The clock automatically continues to search for the DCF
signal daily (between 02.00 and 04.00 and between 05:00
and 06:00). Once the signal is received successfully, the
manually set time and date are overwritten.
Note – Summer time
The time adjusts automatically to summer time. While summer time
is active,
appears on the display.
Manual settings
• Press and hold the CLOCK button (21) for around 3 seconds to
carry out the following settings in sequence:
• 12- or 24-hour format
• Language of the week day (GE = German, FR = French, SP =
Spanish, IT = Italian, EN = English)
• Time zone (from -12 - +12 hours CET)
• Hour
• Minute
• Second
• Year
• Month
• Day
Press the SET/RESET button (25) to select your setting. Press the
CLOCK button (21) to con rm your entry.
Note – Time zone
• The DCF signal can be received in many places, however
it does not always correspond to the CET applicable in
Germany. You should therefore remember to take into
account the time difference in countries with a different
time zone.
• Moscow, for example, is 3 hours ahead of Germany. Set the
time to the time zone +3. The clock will then automatically
set itself 3 hours ahead of the time received from the DCF
signal or the time set manually.
Note – Time display (time zone)
• To display the time in relation to the set time zone, press the
clock button (21). "Zone" appears in the display.
Alarm clock
• Press and hold the ALARM button (22) for approx. 3 seconds
to set the alarm time for the displayed alarm. The hour display
starts to ash.
• Press the SET/RESET button (25) to set the alarm time hours
and con rm your selection by pressing the ALARM button
(22). The minute display starts to ash.
• Repeat this procedure for the minutes of the alarm time.
• Repeat the entire procedure to set the second alarm.
• If no entries are made for 25 seconds, the clock automatically
exits settings mode.
