Start up
m Attention!
Always make sure the device is fully assembled
before commissioning!
m Attention!
Make sure that your grinding machine stands upright
and stable on a solid surface with sufficient lighting.
Switching the device on and off (Fig. 1)
• Connect the device to the mains.
• To switch on the machine, set the on/off switch (3) to
the "I" position.
• To switch off the machine, set the on/off switch (3) to
the "0" position.
Adjusting the grinding disc (Fig. 2)
• Turn the adjustment knob (1) clockwise to raise the
grinding disc.
- Increasing the height of the grinding disc
achieves a higher material removal rate.
• Turn the adjustment knob (1) anti-clockwise to lower
the grinding disc.
- Lowering the grinding disc achieves a lower ma-
terial removal rate and a finer grinding result.
Sharpening the drill (Fig. 3-5)
• Select the appropriate hole in the top cover (2) of the
grinding machine.
• Switch the device on.
• Place the drill in the appropriate hole (Fig. 3).
• Apply light downward pressure to the drill and turn
it back and forth about 20° on its own axis for 20
seconds (Fig. 4).
• Pull the drill out of the drill sharpener again and re-
peat these steps to sharpen the other side of the drill
as well (Fig. 5).
• Use the same method, the same downward pressure
and the same grinding time to achieve an even result.
• Inspect the drill and ensure that:
- both main cutting edges are the same length.
- the drill tip is centred.
- the trailing edge is burr-free.
• Repeat the steps if necessary.
